Choosing the easier option

For one reason or another, life is kind of hard going at the moment.

I won’t bore you with all the details, but the main upsetting thing on my radar, is dad most probably going into a nursing home imminently, followed by a series of other – dwindling in urgency, difficulty and importance – issues.

bath 2013Somewhere in that mix is that I’m currently nursing a bad back, and as a result am advised not to run and on pain relieving tablets.

Marathon 43 is coming up in Wiltshire this Sunday – the hilly off-road Clarendon Way.

I’m actually looking forward to it, even if I have to crawl round.

Compared to what people have to face up to in life – and there are many I know dealing with far greater challenges than I am – believe it or not, sometimes running a marathon really does seem the easier option.

Take it easy, you obviously have a lot on your plate at the moment. You can always look for another marathon to do before the cut off if you are not up to it.
    Take Care. MH
